Backpack Outreach 2012
On August 25, we will serve students in need in the Tacoma Public School District by providing backpacks, haircuts, lunch, games, connection with social services, medical and dental exams, and sports physicals free of charge. This outreach invites over 2,000 guests onto our campus. It's a wonderful opportunity to engage both students and parents.
There are many areas to serve, including:
- backpack distribution
- lunch
- security
- games/inflatables
- hospitality
- entertainment
- registration
- face painting
- Art Zone
If you are interested in serving at the Backpack Outreach, sign up here. There will be a mandatory volunteer training on Thursday, August 23 in the Life Center Foyer.
